Reason for Selection: Cisco’s New Automation technology faces towards the converged Industrial Internet architectures of digital factories: The Digital Network Architecture (DNA) enables interconnection of factory-wide networks, high-speed connection and safe (micro-)segmentation. The Industrial Internet products include Industrial Ethernets, IWLANs, industrial safety and other architectures ensuring safe and reliable connection and flexibility of OT Industrial Internet. The Automatic Control Center is responsible for safety strategies, layout and scheduling and automatic deployment of the factory-wide IT/OT converged network. The Industrial Internet is in full support of industrial interoperability standards including Profinet, ODVA (EtherNet/IP) and OPC-UA, enabling Industrial Internet access to production line equipment and PLC. High-speed connection of core business systems such as on-position system for onsite industrial control, MES and WMS is realized within one single network, with the help of highly efficient visualized operation and maintenance provided by automation.
