DFD New Energy deployed an intelligent workshop of battery production for micro electric passenger vehicle. Not only they faces challenges that include multi processes, numerous control points involved in the manufacturing, and also need to ensure a consistent production quality for these lithium batteries. Moreover, the digital and IT platforms of the intelligent workshop have to further integrated digital twin and virtual reality applications to their SCADA and MES systems. Facing the increasing numbers of intelligent systems involved, the demand for higher reliability in communication performance has also surged. DFD chooses Moxa with over 30 years of expertise in industrial communication to provide the solution. Moxa tailor-designs the industrial network architecture for DFD. The stability and reliability of network communication eventually helps DFD to improve the FPY (First Pass Yield) of the production line from 94% to 95.6%.
